Another classic from Switzerland: psychedelic funk and rock by Proud Mary, with that striking orange and purple cover, released in 1972 on the fascinating Swiss label Evasion. 

I foolishly sold my copy about 20 years ago, kept searching ever since, and luckily found it again a few years back.

All songs were written and produced by Stephan Sulke, with just one cover slipped in between – House of the Rising Sun, performed in a breathtaking a cappella version. 

Only 1 minute and 39 seconds long, but once you’ve heard it, it stays with you forever.
