One of those rare LP finds you never see anywhere else – not even listed on Discogs. 

I discovered this record about 20 years ago in a Swiss thrift shop. I’ve always picked up records I’ve never seen before, especially if they’re from Switzerland and look interesting. On the cover, I read that the group Estrellita Musical had covered Paul Desmond’s jazz classic Take Five.

When I played it at home, I was instantly hooked: a wonderfully calm, tasteful, and beautifully balanced interpretation, far from any showiness. 

Hardly anyone will have ever heard this version, except perhaps guests at the legendary 5* luxury Suvretta House in St. Moritz, where the band once performed, recorded this LP, and most likely gave it away later as a musical souvenir to hotel guests.
