Maximuzz is a Swedish band that released their first and only album in 1981 on the small pop label Nugget Records. To this day, I’ve never seen it in anyone else’s collection – even though it’s surprisingly cheap to find.

Maybe that’ll change once more people hear their cool version of Summertime.

I love that singing rock guitar tone that wraps perfectly around the vocals – somewhere between midnight sun, gentle groove, and a soft ’70s shimmer.
