Long Train Runnin'
Lilith
Galaxia, 1978

In the late 1970s, an unusual all-woman rock band called Lilith emerged in Boston. The group was part of a vibrant local scene in which women made music together, played live, and claimed space for their voices.
In 1978, the band released their album Boston Ride on the label Galexia Women Enterprises, a platform dedicated to promoting female culture and creative energy.
Boston Ride combines original songs with selected cover versions, including an interpretation of Long Train Runnin’, the legendary Doobie Brothers track.
Today, this version of Long Train Runnin’ is a fairly rare find in record collections. It is a small piece of CoverLove history, driven by rock energy, saxophone, percussion, and the power of an all-female rock formation that left its mark on the underground of the 1970s.
