In 1973, Neil Young’s classic Heart of Gold made its way from North America across the Atlantic to Scandinavia. There, Finnish rock star Kirka recorded his version titled Ihmeihminen – a wonderfully quirky Finnish adaptation of the global hit.

It’s a bit strange to listen to at first, since the melody is familiar but the Finnish lyrics sound delightfully foreign to untrained ears. And that’s exactly what makes Ihmeihminen a true CoverLove gem from the North.
