On July 22, 2025, Ozzy Osbourne passed away. Whether Black Sabbath ever heard the German reworking of Paranoid by Cindy & Bert? No idea – but it exists, it hits hard, and it’s pure curiosity gold.

Der Hund von Baskerville (1971) is no simple copy, but a monster of its own: the Paranoid riff remains as the foundation, while swirling Hammond, driving drums, and lyrics that chase us into the foggy moors of Forrest Hill pile on top. Originally released as the B-side to Holly Holy, the single later became a cult item – not least thanks to a mad TV performance in 1972, complete with a real dog on stage. A must-watch!
