Cool Down Stretch (Just The Two Of Us)Barbie Allen

Forget Jane Fonda – here comes Barbie Allen, dancer, fitness instructor, and one of the early voices of California’s aerobic wave. In 1981, she released Dance/Exercise, one of those quintessential early-’80s fitness LPs, complete with an 8-page workout booklet in English and French.
To hits like Rise (Herb Alpert) and Night Fever (Bee Gees), you dance, sweat, and move. And at the end of side B, you’ll find Bill Withers’ Just the Two of Us, serving as the soundtrack for the cool-down stretch, accompanied by Barbie Allen’s gentle stretching instructions.
A charming time capsule from the aerobic era, when fitness, pop, and lifestyle blended into one and soul classics weren’t just for dancing, but for stretching too.
