Swedish jazz singer Agneta Baumann released her album I Am An Illusion in 1981. On it: a fantastic version of Just the Two of Us, recorded together with fellow Swedish singer Björn Skifs.

The best part? The track was also released as a beautiful 7-inch – perfect for all 45 lovers.

Musically, this cover is slightly different than the original by Bill Withers and Grover Washington Jr.: groovier, punchier, more danceable – without losing that smooth vibe. That’s exactly why this single pretty much always stays in my DJ bag.

An underrated Scandinavian funk gem with serious dancefloor potential.
